Grants and Opportunities 2010

Kildare County Council Arts Service offer grants and bursaries to individuals, artists and groups in Kildare. Grants forms are available in early January every year, with a closing date of mid March.

Grants for 2010 are now closed. Details of the 2011 grant scheme will be posted in January 2011.

The awards were adjudicated by Muireann Ní Chonaill, Arts Officer for Laoise County Council, and Anne Marie Morrin, Lecturer in Visual Arts Education in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.

Tyrone Guthrie Centre Residency Bursary Award 2010

There were 10 applicants for the 2010 Tyrone Guthrie Centre Residence Bursary Award. The award entitles each recipient to two weeks, fully paid, at the Guthrie Centre, Monaghan.  The total value of the weeks awarded is €800 for each recipient.

The award entitles the recipient to attend the summer school at the University of Limerick and is valued at €450 for each recipient.

Emerging Visual Artists Solo Exhibition Bursary Award 2010

The recipient is awarded €2500 toward the cost of their solo exhibition in Riverbank Arts Centre.  

Recording Bursary at Leixlip Library 2010

Arts Grants 2010

This year we have 10 grants / bursary awards to choose from.

New bursaries this year are:

• Artist in Schools Residency Bursary Award
• Recording Bursary @ Leixlip Library
• Emerging Visual Artist Solo Exhibition Bursary Award.

These awards are in response to commitments made in Making Inroads: An Arts Development Plan for Kildare County Council 2006 – 2011 and the recently published Youth Arts Strategy: 2009 – 2011. This illustrates Kildare County Council Arts Service’s commitment to supporting artists in Kildare and to assist in developing Art Forms throughout the County.

Submissions must be made in HARD COPY (X3). Emailed / Faxed applications will not be accepted

The closing date for each grants / bursaries is:
FRIDAY 19TH MARCH AT 5PM SHARP. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
