Good Friends by Orla McAlinden

Orla McAlinden

Orla McAlinden is an emerging Irish writer.  Her writing has been published in The Chattahoochee Review, The Ilanot Review, Ragnarok, Fish Anthology, A New Ulster and many sites online.  She has long/shortlisted for the Fish Short Memoir, Valhalla Press Short Prose, Wasafiri New Writing and Penguin/RTE guide contests.

Born in Northern Ireland at the height of the Troubles, she has lived in Kildare now for 12 years, witnessing the unexpected, meteoric birth, short, noisy life and brutal death of the Celtic tiger.  She squeezes her writing into the gaps left by a husband, four kids, two choirs and a farm.
