Shauna Gilligan

Shauna Gilligan lives in Celbridge with her family. She writes short and long fiction, holds a PhD (writing) from the University of South Wales and is interested in the crossover of art and literature in storytelling, and creative processes. She was awarded the Cecil Day Lewis Award (Emerging Writers) in 2015 and is on Arts Council of Ireland Writers in Prisons Panel. Her debut novel Happiness Comes from Nowhere (London, Ward Wood: 2012) was described by the Sunday Independent as ‘thoroughly enjoyable and refreshingly challenging.’
