Invitation to Bealtaine at Riverbank

Kildare County Council Arts Service and Riverbank Arts Centre invite you to participate in our weeklong programme of workshops and events in celebration of Bealtaine 2011.

Bealtaine is the Irish Arts festival celebrating creativity in older age. This year to celebrate we are hosting an extended programme from Tuesday 17th May to Friday 20th May 2011 at Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge.  As part of our on going commitment to access to the arts for the older person, we’re delighted to inform you that all events are offered FREE of charge to older people.

Events include:

Tuesday 17th May   11am-1.30pm   Dance Workshop with Expandance

Wednesday 18th May   11am-12pm Poetry Sharing, Poetry Listening and Poetry Making Workshop with Julie Duane

Wednesday 18 May   8pm-10.05pm   Film Screening of ‘Julie & Julia’ starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams

Thursday 19th May    11am-1pm   Storytelling Workshop with Susie Minto

Thursday 19 May   8pm-10pm  An evening of Song with singer-songwriter Ger Wolfe

Friday 20th May   3pm- 4pm  ‘Fruitcake’  A play starring Mary McEvoy

Subject to demand, we may be in a position to offer an additional daytime screening of the Bealtaine Film ‘Julie & Julie’. When making a booking please inform us if you have special accessibility requirements.

Please note places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
