Culture Night is coming back to Kildare

Culture Night 2011

Culture Night Friday 23rd September 2011 Co. Kildare

Culture Night is coming back to Kildare! On Friday 23rd September Co. Kildare will host its second Culture Night. This is an initiative co-ordinated by Temple Bar Cultural Trust and supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport in partnership with Kildare County Council.  Cultural organisations and venues across the County will open to the public for a night of free entertainment and discovery. To plot your journey across Kildare pick up a programme at your local library or download the brochure below.

Why not start with an early afternoon trip to Castletown House and then head to the Steam Museum in Straffan for a musical evening by candlelight. Finish off your night with a ballroom dancing workshop in Newbridge or take in a play at the Moat Theatre.

Or, start your day with a literary walk in Newbridge celebrating the life of local author Molly Keane, and then head to the Leinster Printmaking studio for a printmaking demonstration and a chance to make your very own print! You could also hop on the Public Art Road Bus, taking in some of the best public art and architecture Kildare has to offer.  You can finish off your evening with an intimate concert with the renowned Maynooth Gospel Choir in Leixlip Library.

With over 40 free events happening in Kildare you’ll need a day and a night!

Full listing of all events are available to download below, from your local library or contact 045 448328.
