 Casualty Service

The casualty service is one of the most important services in Civil Defence, and is the primary requisite for a Civil Defence volunteer. Most community duties would require first aid cover, thus making it such an important services. Civil Defence can offer training to members in with certification issued at each level of successful completion. Civil Defence can offer training to members in

  • CFR ( Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation ) 
  • OFA ( Occupational First Aid ) 
  • EFR  ( Emergency First Responder )
  • EMT ( Emergency Medical Technican )

with certification issued at each level of successful completion.

Members are trained in diagnosing of injuries, treatment/transportation of patients, CPR training(heart massage and mouth to mouth resuscitation) and AED training (use of defibrillators).
