Planning Timeline Changes – Covid 1

Following the passing of the Emergency Measures in the Public Interest (COVID-19) Act 2020, an order has been made affecting certain planning statutory timelines.

The measures to ensure continuity of Planning services whilst having regard for current public health measures and restrictions are as below: 

Planning Service Delivery Arrangements

Kildare County Council wishes to advise that the Planning Department are implementing the following procedures:

Pre-Planning Meetings

All pre-planning meetings have been suspended pending the availability of video conferencing facilities

Making a Planning Application

Kildare County Council request that all planning applications being lodged be sent through An Post or placed in the post box at the offices of Kildare County Council at Aras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare. An e-mail will be issued to confirm receipt of same.

Viewing a Planning Application

To view a Planning Application, please go to the Kildare County Council website where you can access the planning applications which have been submitted www.kildarecountycouncil.ie

Submissions/Observations

If you wish to place a submission or observation to a Planning Application please be advised that your letter outlining your submission /observations should be issued to the following e-mail address plandept@kildarecoco.ie.
Please ensure you submit a phone number to enable this Department to contact you for payment over the phone by Credit/Debit Card. Objections received late and/or without the prescribed fee of €20.00 are invalid.

Alternatively, please lodge a submission through An Post with the prescribed fee of €20.00 attached.

Retrieval of Planning Files

Request for retrieval of all planning files should be emailed to the Planning Department plandept@kildarecoco.ie

All requests will be kept on file and you will be contacted at a later date. 

Unauthorised Development

In relation to Unauthorised Development, please complete the Unauthorised Development complaint form which is available on http://kildare.ie/CountyCouncil/Forms/Planning/ and email the completed form to planningcontrol@kildarecoco.ie or send by post to Kildare County Council Offices
