1. To approve minutes of meeting of 16 July 2010 and to note progress report.

2. Councillor Kelly
That traffic calming/junction improvement measures be installed at the entrance to Thornhill Heights estate, Celbridge.
3. Councillor S. Purcell
That the council examine and remedy the road collapse and smell of sewerage from shore outside house 219 Castletown Estate, Leixlip.
4. Councillor McGinley
That a design and costings be provided for the narrowing of the entrance to Thornhill Heights, Celbridge, in order to deter drivers from turning at the entrance and thereby reduce the level of risk to pedestrians.

That the proposal to put in place a pedestrian access between the Dale Hazelhatch Park and the new development of Hazelwood estate in Celbridge not be proceeded with as it will lead to the type of anti-social behaviour which has led to the council closing several such access points throughout the town.

Given that a number of people have fallen and one had an injury on the footpath at English Row, Celbridge, that the repair of this footpath be given priority in the works programme.

That the council direct the utility company who removed the bollard on the pedestrian access between St Patricks Park and Dara Court to have this bollard replaced as the right of way is now being used for inappropriate traffic and is dangerous for pedestrians.

That the link road from Shackelton Road to the Maynooth road (through Thornhill) be provided with;
- traffic calming measures
- that the junction at Thornhill Heights be adjusted to prevent illegal parking.

That in view of the recent refusal by the planning section for the provision of car parking at Leinster Street, Maynooth, we now seek advice from the council on how best to advance the provision of car parking spaces in Maynooth.

That we set aside 30 minutes at our next area meeting in order to receive an update/briefing on the contents of the Celbridge Traffic Management Plan. The briefing should include; potential of delivery short/medium/long term of various elements; what funding might be available; sources of funding; gaps in the plan and how they should be addressed.

We seek the repair of the pillar at the entrance to Black Avenue which is now dangerous and repair damage to the road surface both of which are associated with heavy goods vehicles.

In view of the noticeable increase in ‘sandwich board’ type advertising and the difficulties this poses for visually impaired citizens and those pushing prams and buggies we arrange for the removal of these signs.

Will the council re-examine the exit from the Church of Our Ladys Nativity, Leixlip before pedestrian lights are turned on to enable traffic use slow lane on left hand side in safety?

To ask the council to repair the footpath between houses 3-10 at Vanessa Close, Celbridge that is in a dangerous condition and that this be funded from the works programme.

To ask the council if the company that laid sewers and restored the roadway at English Row, Celbridge would now be asked to restore the road markings at the entrance to Celbridge Community Centre that were removed in the process.

To ask the council to direct the company who constructed the ramp at the entrance to Crodaun Forest Park phase 2 to repair the ramp.

What is the criteria used to provide or obtain a visitors parking permit in Celbridge?
