That the proposal to put in place a pedestrian access between the Dale Hazelhatch Park and the new development of Hazelwood estate in Celbridge not be proceeded with as it will lead to the type of anti-social behaviour which has led to the council closing several such access points throughout the town.

Given the heavy pedestrian use of the footpath on the Clane Road in the vicinity of Abbey House and the school for special citizens there, that the council erect a barrier on the edge of the footpath where it is narrowest at Abbey House in the interest of the safety of the many pedestrians who use this route.

Given the extent of traffic on the Celbridge/Clane Road, together with the bad bends and accident rates between Celbridge and Barberstown we receive a briefing on the prospect of upgrading this road, if it has not already been done that traffic counts are taken, with a view to doing a cost benefit analysis in favour of upgrading the road.
