To the Mayor and Each Member of the County Council

Dear Councillor
The council has been advised by the National Roads Authority that it is to be the lead authority for two major road projects, namely the improvement of the N81 from Old Bawn Junction, Tallaght  to Athgreaney, Hollywood and the provision of an interchange on the N7 at Newlands Cross.

The National Roads Authority is anxious to initiate planning for both projects as soon as possible; and it is therefore proposed to seek approval to formal agreements with South Dublin and Wicklow County Councils pursuant to Section 85 of the Local Government Act 2000 at the Kildare County Council meeting to be held on 26 November.

In order to comply with the statutory requirements in this regard the supplementary agenda set out below is being issued to you today.
