Agenda

1.      To consider material contravention of the Kildare County Development Plan 2005-2011 in respect of planning reference number in Register 05/2495.

The proposed development consists of two senior playing pitches including floodlights, one junior playing pitch, a clubhouse incorporating an indoor basketball court, male and female dressing rooms with shower and toilet facilities, referees changing room with toilet and shower facilities, kitchen, store room, meeting room, reception room and public toilets at Ballykelly, Monasterevan – applicant Ballykelly GAA Club.

The proposed development would materially contravene Section 6.7.6 – OD1 of the Kildare County Development Plan 2005-2011, which states: Apart from housing development, there are other land uses which may be considered in the rural countryside. Where an area is not within an identifiable settlement, and is not otherwise zoned as part of this development plan, or of any of the town development plans, the use of such land will be deemed to be primarily agricultural. 2.      To consider material contravention of the Kildare County Development Plan 2005-2011 in respect of planning reference number in Register 08/409.

The proposed development consists of two manufacturing facilities on 15.2Ha site for the manufacturing of fibre cement roof slates, the importation of slate and building cladding products and manufacture of building cladding products and purlins, administrative building, staff and visitor car-parking, surface water management system and ESB sub-stations at Srowland, Athy, Co. Kildare - applicant Tegral Holdings.

The proposed development would contravene materially Section 6.7.6 - OD1 of the Kildare County Development Plan 2005-2011, which states: Apart from housing development, there are other land uses which may be considered in the rural countryside.
