1.             Councillor Power

In the matter of development levies for 2007, 2006 and 2005 that this council be  informed:

(a) How much was levied?

(b) How much was collected?

(c) If it is known how much is yet to be collected?

(e) How it is known how much is to be collected?

(d) How much was spent?

         for each of the three years.

2.             Councillor Power

In the matter of work contracted to outside consultants for 2005, 2006 and 2007 that this council be informed:

  (a)  How much was spent on outside consultants?

  (b) In what disciplines do these consultants operate, e.g., planning, road design, traffic management, architecture, village/town/county development plans/surveys, house surveys, house repairs, legal advice, auctioneering, property procurement, water and waste water design/services?

  (c) Within each of these disciplines, how much was spent? for each of the three years.

3.   A large proportion of motorcycle accidents resulting in serious injury and death are directly related to road conditions and in particular road repairs. In light of this I would call on all councils throughout Ireland to insist that road works be finished to a high standard for all road users and adequate warning of road works be monitored on a daily basis.
