This grant scheme is open for applications. The objective of the grant scheme is to promote interest, education, knowledge and enjoyment by facilitating an appreciation of the heritage of County Kildare. Applications are invited for community heritage projects which will benefit or relate to at least one of the aspects of heritage as set out in the Heritage Act 1995. The Irish Georgian Society is inviting applications to its Conservation Grants Programme 2017. A total of €50,000 is available and grants will be awarded with priority given to protected structures and recorded monuments of significant architectural merit. Structures of all periods are eligible but priority will be given to older buildings on the basis of rarity and potential fragility relating to age.

Kildare County Council in conjunction with the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and  Gaeltacht Affairs are inviting applications for the Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2017. The scheme will be administered by the Conservation Section of Kildare County Council for buildings on the Record of Protected Structures and in Architectural Conservation Areas within county Kildare.

The minimum level of funding awarded will be €2,500 up to a maximum of €10,000 per application. This scheme will support small scale conservation projects and support the employment of skilled and experienced conservation professionals, craftspeople and tradespersons in the repair of the historic built environment.

Applications should be made directly to the Conservation Section, Planning Department, Kildare County Council, Aras Chill Dara, Naas, Co. Kildare and the closing date for receipt of completed forms is 5 p.m. on Tuesday 28th February 2017.
