Domestic Water Metering Project
Surveying of stopcocks and boundary boxes in advance of the installation of water meters is currently taking place throughout the country.
Kildare County Council commenced this survey on the 9th April 2013 and it is expected to continue for up to 6 months.
This survey will take place at the following location:
| 17th June - July | Naas, Sallins, Kill, Johnstown |
| 4th - 20th June | Prosperous, Coill Dubh, Straffan |
| May/June | Clane |
| May | Celbridge / Leixlip |
| April | Maynooth / Kilcock |
The survey involves a council employee carrying out a visual examination of the service connection/stop-cock at each property on the public water network.
It is only the connection from the public mains to the household that will be surveyed and hence
- The surveyor will not require access past the property fence line or entrance gate
- The surveyor will not be calling to doors or otherwise seeking access to property.
All surveyors will carry official Kildare County Council identification. Should you have any queries, you can contact Kildare Co Council staff at (045)980362/431364 or alternatively email watersection@kildarecoco.ie
There will be no interruption to household water supply during the survey.
