Please note that from 1st June, 2014 Naas Town Council and Athy Town Council will be dissolved and will cease to exist, all planning functions will transfer to Kildare County Council.

From this date any forms headed Naas Town Council or Athy Town Council should not be used, submitting the incorrect form may result in your application being invalidated.  Only Kildare County Council forms should be used.

About Planning The Planning & Development Acts 2000-2013 provide the legislative framework for the work of the Planning Department.

The main aim of Kildare County Council’s Planning Department is to support and promote high quality and sustainable development within our county.

Kildare County Council strives to achieve this aim through five main functions:
