Kildare, proposes to make a variation to the Kildare County Development Plan 2017–2023.

The proposed variation is to respond to the recent changes in national and regional policy, namely the publication of Project Ireland 2040: National Planning Framework (NPF), The Implementation Roadmap for the National Planning Framework and the Eastern and Midland Regional Assembly (EMRA) Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy (RSES).

he Proposed Variation No. 1 to the Kildare County Development Plan 2017–2023, together with a Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Report and Determination, an Appropriate Assessment Screening Report and a Stage 1 Flood Risk Assessment may be inspected from Thursday 9th January 2020 to 5 p.m. Thursday 6th February 2020 at the following locations: 

  • Kildare County Council Offices, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas;
  • Public libraries, during opening hours, located at: Athy, Ballitore, Celbridge, Clane, Clocha Rince, Kilcock, Kilcullen, Kildare Town, Leixlip, Maynooth, Monasterevin, Naas, Newbridge, Rathangan.

 

Public Consultation Sessions
Planning Staff will be available to answer any questions on the proposed variation on the following dates at Áras Chill Dara, Naas;

15th January 2020             4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

21st January 2020              2.30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

22nd January 2020             10 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.

23rd January 2020             2.30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

24th January 2020             10 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.

 

Making a submission
Submissions or observations with respect to Proposed Variation No. 1 and the environmental reports may be made to Kildare County Council on or before 5 p.m. on 6th of February 2020 in one of the followings ways:

  • In writing to Senior Executive Officer, Planning Department, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Naas, Co. Kildare.

 

Any such written submissions or observations made before the stated closing date and time and to the specified postal address or online portal will be taken into consideration before the making of the variation. Written submissions or observations must include your name and a contact address and, where relevant, details of any organisation, community group or company etc. which you represent. All submissions will be published on our website in accordance with Planning legislation.

DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF SUBMISSIONS (Online, by post or by hand delivery to Áras Chill Dara): 5pm Thursday 6th February 2020
