Built Heritage Investment Scheme and Historic Structures Fund 2020

Kildare County Council in conjunction with the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht is inviting applications for conservation projects for buildings contained on the Record of Protected Structures or in Architectural Conservation Areas within County Kildare. Both schemes operate on a match funding basis.

Built Heritage Investment Scheme 2020

The scheme will support small scale, labour intensive conservation projects. The minimum level of funding awarded will be €2,500 up to a maximum of €15,000 per application.

Historic Structures Fund 2020

This scheme offers funding in 2 streams;

Stream 1 offers grants from €15,000 - €50,000 aimed at essential repairs and smaller capital works for the refurbishment and conservation of heritage structures.

Stream 2 offers a smaller number of grants from €50,000 to €200,000 for larger enhancement, refurbishment or reuse projects involving heritage structures, where a clear community or public benefit is demonstrated.

Only fully completed applications with photos of existing structure, quotation for specific works and a method statement will be accepted and must be made directly to the Conservation Section, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas by 5.00 p.m. on Friday, 31 January 2020.
