 Extension of Temporary Road Closure

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the DECISION of Kildare County Council, at the request of Glenveagh Homes Limited, to EXTEND the duration of the closure as detailed below of the following road in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994:

The L5039 Branganstown Road, Kilcock will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic from its junction with Rye Abbey Estate, Kilcock, from Saturday, 25 April 2020 to Friday, 19 June 2020.

Please note the road will only be closed for a maximum period of 28 days during this period and local resident’s will be informed of the exact dates beforehand.

The closure is required to facilitate the pipe laying of a filter drain and upgrade of road.

Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling towards the Branganstown Road, Kilcock will be diverted via the L5038 Courtown Park Road, onto the R407 Clane Road and then on the R125 back into Kilcock.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.
