Garda Síochána Motor Club Mini Stages Rally - Temporary Road Closures - Notice of Decision

Kildare County Council hereby gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that it will close the following roads:

STAGE 1

From the R-448 with its junction with Timolin Village (l-8012) via Timolin Terrace (L-8038) and the Glebe (L-8039) to Commonstown Crossroads and onto Killelan Crossroads via L-8045 and through to Sherriffshill Cross via the L-8035 and L-8047 (Newtown and Simmonstown East) and then back onto the L-8045 to Grangeford Bridge.  Turn south onto the L-8053 at Davidstown Crossroads to Corballis Crossroads via Ballynacarrick.  At Corballis Crossroads turn south-west onto the L-8095 to Knockphuca Crossroads via Plunketstown Upper

from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on Sunday 22 October  2017

STAGE 2

From Prumplestown Crossroads at the intersection of the R-448 and the

L-4012 via Prumplestown Lower L-4010 towards Ballaghmoon Bridge via Newtownallen.  At the junction adjacent to Ballaghmoon Bridge turn north-west onto the L-8089 via Lisbush to the junction at Crooket and turn due east onto the L-8091 (Crooket Road) to its intersection with the L-4012 at Johnstown South.  Turn north-west onto the L-4012 to its intersection with the L-4009 at Knockroe.  Turn west onto the L-4009 to Castleroe Crossroads. Turn due north along the L-8087 to Beaconstown Bridge near Plants Cross.  Turn west on the L-8084 to Levitstown via Duke Street, Beaconstown.  At the junction at Rosetown turn due north onto the L-8076 to Ballyroe Village at the intersection of the L-8077.

STAGE 3 - SERVICE AREA

Service Area (L8101) Junction with R747 at Ballitore to Crookstown Upper.

from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on Sunday 22 October 2017

The closures are required to facilitate the safe running of the Garda Síochána Mini-Stages Rally.

Alternative routes:  Adequate signage and Marshals, who will be briefed on alternative routes for motorists, will be in place throughout the routes for the duration of the rally. Emergency access will be maintained at all times. Any inconvenience caused is regretted.
