National Women’s Enterprise Day

Local Enterprise Office Kildare announces details of National Women’s Enterprise Day, on Thursday 12 October 2017.

Local Enterprise Office Kildare are celebrating National Women’s Enterprise Day by gathering inspirational female leaders in Kildare Village for a glamorous morning of networking, mentoring opportunity and lunch!  This year’s theme is: ‘New Markets’, and the Local Enterprise Office welcome keynote speaker and ambassador for the event Mary Ann O’Brien of Lily O’Brien Chocolates to inspire more women to set up and grow their own businesses by considering new markets.

Launching the countdown to NWED locally, Jacqui McNabb, Head of Enterprise said: “National Women’s Enterprise Day is an important annual initiative from the Local Enterprise Office, highlighting the supports, information and advice on offer to those thinking of starting a business or already running one. By putting the success stories of Irish female entrepreneurs in the spotlight, we’re encouraging more potential businesswomen to follow in their footsteps and we’ll support them along the way.”                                                    

Other successful female entrepreneurs participating in the events case studies and panel discussions are: Lee Ann McCarthy, Marketing/Tourism Manager at Kildare Village and Karolynn Mac Hale, Managing Director at Aria Boutique Naas.

Tickets for the event, which takes place at Kildare Village designer outlet from 9.30 a.m. (Registration from 9 a.m.), cost €25 and are available on-line through https://www.localenterprise.ie/Kildare/Training-Events/Online-Bookings/National-Women-s-Enterprise-Day-.html

The event also includes complimentary 1-1 mentoring sessions with business leaders specialising in export, marketing, social media and finance which can be booked on the day as places are limited.  

Organised by Local Enterprise Office Kildare, which is the first stop shop for microenterprises and small businesses, National Women’s Enterprise Day is supported by Enterprise Ireland, the Local Authorities Network and Enterprise Europe Network.
