Part 8 Notice - Cherry Avenue


Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended)

Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended) - Part 8

Proposed Development:  Public Park (Planning Reference P82018.002)

Site Location:  Former National Stud Lands, Dublin Road, Kildare Town

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of a proposal by Kildare County Council for the development of a public park on 18.1 acres of land on the Dublin Road, Kildare Town. The lands were formerly part of the National Stud. The development of the park will consist of a perimeter path catering for pedestrians and cyclists, demonstration gardens, community garden, amphitheatre, Land Art feature, playground, pump track, wetlands, extensive tree planting, upgrading to the entrance, car parking and public toilets and seating.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during the period from Tuesday 6 February 2018 until Friday 9 March 2018 at:

Kildare County Council, Community and Culture Department (Level 7) at the address below, Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.  

Kildare Town Library, Tuesday 2.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m., Wednesday 2.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m., Thursday 1.00 p.m. - 8.00 p.m., Friday 9.30 a.m. - 1.00  p.m. & 2.00 p.m. - 5.00 p.m., Saturday 9.30 a.m. - 12.30 p m.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will also be available to view on Kildare County Council’s website at Services/Cherry Avenue

Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development and dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing to Simon Wallace, Senior Executive Parks Superintendent, Kildare County Council at the address below before 4.00 p.m. on Friday 23  March 2018 or by email to Submissions should be clearly headed “Cherry Avenue Park”.
