SALLINS FLOOD ALLEVIATION SCHEME
PHASE II

Planning and Development Regulations 2001 - 2007

In accordance with Part 8 of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001-2007, Kildare County Council hereby gives notice that it intends to construct the second phase of the Sallins Flood Alleviation Scheme in Kerdiffstown and Monread North, Co. Kildare.

The construction will include the following elements:

• Concrete culvert sections on the downstream side of the Dublin – Cork railway line at Kerdiffstown;
• Two number 1,500mm diameter culverts below the railway line as agreed with Irish Rail;
• Inlet structure and concrete culvert sections on the upstream side of the Dublin – Cork railway line;
• Regrading and embanking of the existing channel on the upstream side of the railway line.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection or purchase, at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at the address below between the hours of 9:00am to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm Monday to Friday (public holidays excepted) during the period 14 May 2010 to the 25 June 2010 (both dates inclusive).

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing to Water Services Department at the address below on or before 5 p.m. on 9 July 2010. Submissions to be headed “Sallins Flood Alleviation Scheme – Part 8”.
