Proposed demolition of existing halting site and the construction of a new halting site within a revised boundary at Tankardsgarden, Newbridge, Co. Kildare

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given that Kildare County Council proposes to:

  1. Demolish the existing halting site including the removal of boundary walls, halting site bays and all ancillary buildings.
  2. The construction of a new halting site within a revised boundary comprising of seven halting site bays, one single storey caretaker’s office, one single storey community building, new entrance, new boundary walls and fences, new road layout including car parking bays and associated site works. Three masts will be placed throughout the site to support CCTV security cameras.

Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during normal opening hours from Thursday 28 July 2011 until Thursday 8 September 2011 inclusive at the following locations:

- Kildare County Council, at the address below from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm.

- Newbridge Library, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing to: George Perry, Senior Executive Officer, Housing Department, Kildare County Council, at the address below on or before 12.00 noon on Thursday 22 September 2011.

Submissions should be headed; “Part 8 - Halting site at Tankardsgarden, Newbridge, Co. Kildare”

All comments, including names and addresses of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this scheme will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Kildare County Council.  Accordingly they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
