Road Safety Advice:
‘Be Bright – Stay Alive!

With the winter fast approaching, now is the time to really think about being visible on the roads.  Pedestrians, cyclists and other vulnerable road users are being asked to please wear a high visibility vest while out on the roads.  Wearing a florescent vest or high visibility material increases your chance of being visible, to other road users, by up to 300 times.

Be Seen        Turn on your lights and drive with dipped headlamps always.

Slow Down  Take note of speed limit signs and always drive within the speed limit.

Belt Up          Always wear a seatbelt and make sure your passengers are wearing theirs.

Drive Sober  Never drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Arrive Alive   It’s much safer to Arrive ALIVE late, than to arrive DEAD on Time!
