Roadworks Speed Limit Order - Castledermot to Moone High Cross

ROADWORKS SPEED LIMIT ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 2004 (Section 10)

CASTLEDERMOT TO MOONE HIGH CROSS (R4480)

In accordance with the provisions of Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004, it is hereby ordered that, in the interest of public safety, a road works speed limit of 60km/h be applied at:

(a) The Castledermot – Kilcullen Road (R448) between a point 130 metres north of the Pike Cross and a point 85 metres south of its intersection with the Bolton Hill Road (L80461).

(b) The Ballyvass Road (L8050) from its junction with the Castledermot – Kilcullen Road (R448) to a point 50 metres west of said junction.

(c) The Grangeford Road (L8045) from its junction with the Castledermot – Kilcullen Road (R448) to a point 50 metres north east of said junction.

This reduction in speed limit is required to facilitate laying of a watermain.

This roadworks speed limit will apply from Monday 24 October 2011 for the duration of the works or for a period not exceeding 12 months, whichever is the earlier.

Ambulance, Fire Brigade and Garda Síochána vehicles, while being driven in the course of duty, are exempt from all speed limits imposed by this order.
