Realignment of R402 at Newbury Hall, Carbury

PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS 2001-2012 (PART 8)

Re-alignment of R402 regional road at entrance to

 Newbury Hall, Carbury, Co. Kildare

 

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given that Kildare County Council proposes the re-alignment of the R402 regional road at the entrance to Newbury Hall, Carbury,CountyKildare.

The proposed road re-alignment is designed to provide improved safety for the general public, road users and vehicles entering and exiting Newbury Hall.

This development will materially affect the character of part of a proposed protected structure, Newbury Hall. This structure is listed in the Kildare County Development Plan 2011 - 2017 Chapter 12, Section 12.10, Record of Protected Structures (RPS number B08-10). The part of this structure being affected by the development is the entrance piers and gates, boundary walls and gate lodge. Ancillary works associated with the scheme will include the re-building of the entrance piers and gates, entrance walls and gate lodge, installation of new road pavement, drainage, public lighting, landscaping and signage.

 

In accordance withS. I.476, 2011, Section 250, Planning and Development

(Amendment) (No.3) Regulations 2011, Kildare County Council has determined that an Appropriate Assessment is not required.

Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme will be available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during normal opening hours from Thursday the 23 August 2012 until Thursday the 4 October 2012 at the following locations:

 

Transportation Department, Level 4, at the address below.

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the proposed development would be situated, may be made in writing to:

 

Senior Executive Officer, Transportation & Public Safety, at the address below, on or before 12.00 noon Friday 19 October 2012.

Submissions should be headed; 

“Re-alignment of R402 Regional road at entrance to Newbury Hall”

 

All comments, including names and addresses of those making comments, submitted to the council in regard to this scheme will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Kildare County Council. Accordingly they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
