Towards Carbon Neutral: Residential development including the demolition of 7 uninhabitable dwellings at Athgarvan Road, Liffey Terrace, Liffey View, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.

Dates extended for the inspection of plans and particulars and for the submission of observations.

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given that Kildare County Council intend to carry out the following development: Demolition of 7 uninhabitable dwellings, the construction of 13 residential units and associated site works atAthgarvan Road, Liffey Terrace and Liffey View, Newbridge, Co. Kildare.

The proposed development will comprise of the following:

a) Demolition of 7 uninhabitable dwellings,

b) Construction of 13 residential units comprising of 4 single storey houses, 2 two storey houses and 7 apartments including provision for a community room.

c) Up-grade works to street surface, boundaries, car parking layout, lighting and landscape along Liffey Terrace, part Liffey View and the green.

d) Up-grade of retaining wall boundary located between site and residential units alongAthgarvan Road.

e) Construction of car-parking bays alongAthgarvan Road.

f) Closure of one way vehicular access road from Liffey Terrace / Liffey View toAthgarvan Road, pedestrian access to remain.

g) Change of direction to one way traffic flow along Liffey Terrace and part Liffey View.

h) Associated site works.

Plans and particulars of the proposed scheme are available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at the offices of Kildare County Council, Level 2, at the address below during its public opening hours and Newbridge Library, Athgarvan Road, Newbridge, Co. Kildare during its public opening hours from Tuesday 20 November 2012 to Friday 11January 2013 (both dates inclusive).

Submissions or observations in relation to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the proposed development would be situated may be made in writing to:

George Perry, Senior Executive Officer, Housing Department, Kildare County Council, Level 3, at the address below on or before 12 noon Wednesday 30 January 2013.

Submissions should be headed; ‘’Towards Carbon Neutral: Proposed residential development including the demolition of 7 uninhabitable dwellings at Athgarvan Road, Liffey Terrace, Liffey View, Newbridge, Co. Kildare’’.

All comments, including names and addresses of those making comments, submitted to the council in regard to this scheme will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Kildare County Council. Accordingly they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
