Temporary Road Closure - Notice of Intention - Ardclough to Straffan Road

Kildare County Council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 that it intends to close:

The Ardclough to Straffan Road (L2008) to all traffic between its junctions with the Celbridge Road (L1016) in Ardclough village, and the Straffan Kill Road (L2007) from Monday 12 August until Friday 16 August 2013

The closure is required to facilitate works related to the Castlewarden – Ballygoran Pipeline and Reservoir Scheme.

Alternative Route: Traffic will be diverted via the Oughterard and Tuckmilltown Road and vice versa. Diversionary routes, which will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the council and An Garda Síochána, will be in place for the duration of the works. Local and emergency access will be allowed at all times.

Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transport and Public Safety Department, Level 4 at the address below on or before 5.00p.m. on Tuesday 23 July 2013.
