TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

ROADS ACT 1993

 

NOTICE OF INTENTION

L5025 Carbury Sweep South from R402 Cross to Coonagh Cross

 

Kildare County Council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 that it intends to close the following road:

The local road between Sweep Crossroads (on the R-402) and the Coonagh Crossroads (on the L-5025) from Monday 17 June until Friday 28 June 2013

The closure is required to  facilitate construction works for the R402 Enfield to Edenderry Improvement Scheme.

Alternative routes:

Diversions will be in place and motorists travelling southbound from Carbury Sweep Crossroads are asked to follow diversion routes via CarburyVillage (R-402), DerrinturnVillage (R-403) and Clonkeeran Road (L-5024) rejoining L-5025 at the Coonagh Crossroads. Motorists travelling northbound on the L5025 are asked to follow diversion routes via Coonagh Crossroads (L-5011), Derrinturn Village (R403) and rejoining R402 at CarburyVillage.

Diversionary Routes, which will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and the Garda Siochana, will be in place for the duration of the works. Local and Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

Objections/observations may be made in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Roads Transport and Public Safety at the address below on or before 5.00p.m. on Tuesday 4 June 2013.
