MATERIAL CONTRAVENTION OF KILDARE COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2011-2017

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 34 (6) of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2014 that Kildare County Council intends to consider deciding to grant permission to Brendan Carroll for a development proposed under planning reference 14/605 for planning permission at Allenwood, Naas, Co Kildare.

The development applied for is to erect a regional school of excellence for the training of hygienists and embalmers catering for the Funeral Directors Association together with staff offices and Chapel of Rest style funeral parlour for all types of funeral services totalling 220.0m² including car-parking, landscaping, connection to main foul sewer, and new site access as permitted under light industrial planning reference number 10/643 and all associated site development works

The development would contravene materially the zoning objective for the site, outlined in the Kildare County Development Plan 2011-2017, in particular, Chapter 17 – Allenwood Village Plan, is objective Q, Enterprise and Employment - “to promote the development of employment generating uses”.

Particulars of the proposed development may be inspected at the offices of the Planning Department of Kildare County Council, at the address below during office hours (9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., Monday to Friday). Any submission or observation regarding the making of a decision to grant permission, received not later than the 19 January, 2015 will be duly considered by the planning authority.
