TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

NOTICE OF INTENTION

ROADS ACT, 1993

Kildare County Council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 that it intends to close:

The L6048 (Ballymore Eustace to Kilcullen Road) at the junction with the R411 (Ballymore Eustace to Naas Road Junction) from Monday 5 January until Friday 20 February 2015.

The closure is required to facilitate construction works associated with the Ballymore Eustace Flood Alleviation Scheme.

Alternative route: Traffic from Ballymore Eustace will be diverted around the works location via the Ardenode Road (R413) turning right at Moorhill Wood onto the R412 via Brannockstown to Carnalway Cross and turning left onto the Coughlanstown Road (L6048).

Traffic from Kilcullen will be diverted around the works location via the R412 at Carnalway Cross, through Brannockstown and turning left at Moorhill Wood to the Ardenode Road (R413) and onwards to Ballymore Eustace via the R411.

Diversionary routes, which will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the council and An Garda Síochána, will be in place for the duration of the works. Local and emergency access will be allowed at all times.

Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the A/Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transport and Public Safety Department, Level 4, at the address below on or before 5.00p.m. on Tuesday 16 December 2014.
