Material Contravention - Kildare County Development Plan - Kilcock Local Area Plan

MATERIAL CONTRAVENTION OF KILDARE COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2011-2017 AND THE KILCOCK LOCAL AREA PLAN 2009

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 34 (6) of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2014 Kildare County Council intends to consider deciding to grant permission to the Health Service Executive for a development proposed under planning reference 13/846 for planning permission at Kildare County Council Sports Pitches, Bawnogues, Kilcock, Co. Kildare.

The development applied for is a new Primary Care Centre of 2335m2, of 2-3 storeys. Changing the location and upgrading the existing site entrance on Brayton Park, new site landscaping works to include new boundary treatment, paths and planting and parking for 80 cars and 12 bicycles. The construction of a new surface water drainage pipe to outflow at the site boundary to the south west.

The development would contravene materially Objective SCO4 of the Kildare County Development Plan 2011-2017 which states that it is an objective of the Council to

‘develop open spaces throughout the county which will encourage a range of recreational and amenity activities that will cater for both active and passive recreation’

The development would also contravene materially zoning objective ‘F: Open Space and Amenity’ in the Kilcock Local Area Plan (LAP) 2009.

Particulars of the proposed development may be inspected at the offices of the Planning Department of Kildare County Council, at the address below during office hours (9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday). Any submission or observation regarding the making of a decision to grant permission, received not later than the 23 June 2014 will be duly considered by the Planning Authority.
