Invitation - Pre-Draft Submissions - Leixlip and Celbridge Local Area Plans

Invitation for Pre-Draft Submissions for Proposed Local Area Plans for Leixlip (including Collinstown) and Celbridge (including Castletown)

Notice is hereby given that Kildare County Council, being the Planning Authority for the area, proposes to prepare local area plans for Leixlip (including Collinstown) and Celbridge (including Castletown). Kildare County Council invites pre-draft submissions and observations from interested parties in relation to the areas named above.

A local area plan is a statutory document that sets out the planning and development objectives of the council for the designated area. This is prepared in accordance with the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2014 and is in line with the objectives of the County Development Plan 2011-2017.

To assist this process an Issues Paper has been prepared which identifies the key planning issues that the two local area plans could address. To view the Issues Paper online and/or submit an observation use the following link www.kildare.ie/countycouncil/Planning/DevelopmentPlans/LocalAreaPlans/

Copies of the Issue Papers are also available at the following locations:

  • Kildare County Council, Planning Department, Level 1, Áras Chill Dara, at the address below from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between the hours of 9.00am to 4.00pm
  • In Celbridge and Leixlip public libraries (during usual library opening hours)

Submissions should be made in writing to Veronica Cooke, Administrative Officer, Forward Planning, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, at the address below or emailed to lapsubmissions@kildarecoco.ie by 5pm on Tuesday, 31 March, 2015. Please mark your submission with the appropriate town name.

Please make your submission by one medium only i.e. in hard copy or email. This will avoid the duplication of submission reference numbers and will streamline the process. Your assistance on this issue is appreciated. Faxed submissions will not be accepted.
