Material Contravention - Celbridge Local Area Plan

Planning Register Reference 15/552

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 34 (6) of the Planning & Development Acts 2000-2015 that Kildare County Council intends to consider deciding to grant permission (for a temporary period) to Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board for a development proposed under Planning Register Reference 15/552 for planning permission at Mooretown, Maynooth Road, Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

The development applied for is a) the construction of a new single storey temporary post primary school building including general classrooms, specialist classrooms, social areas, administration areas, circulation areas and other ancillary accommodation and (b) the provision of new site entrances, car parking, set down, ball courts and all ancillary site works.

The development would contravene materially the zoning objective for the lands which are zoned “H” Industrial and Warehousing in the Celbridge Local Area Plan 2010 which states that the objective of this zoning is:

To provide for industrial and warehousing development. Any proposed development in the industrial and warehousing area will require special consideration having regard to amenities and the proper planning and development of the area. Out of town shopping centres and retail warehouses will not be permitted in this zone.

Particulars of the development may be viewed on our website by clicking here or inspected at the Planning Department, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co Kildare, during office hours (9.00. a.m. to 4.00. p.m., Monday to Friday). A submission or observation may be made not later than 5.00 p.m. on the 22nd November, 2015 to Ken Kavanagh, Senior Executive Officer, Planning Department at the address below. Any submission or observation received regarding the making of a decision to grant permission will be duly considered by the Planning Authority.
