Temporary Road Closure - Notice of Intention - Kerdiffstown Railway Bridge



Kildare County Council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 that it intends to close:

Kerdiffstown Railway Bridge OBC37, Sallins from Wednesday, 21 October 2015 at 8.00a.m. until Tuesday, 27 October 2015 at 8.00p.m.

The closure is required to facilitate the renewal of over-bridge OBC37 on the Dublin/Cork Line north of Sallins Train Station.

Alternative route:
From Sallins, follow the R407 to Naas. At the first roundabout, take the first exit onto the L2012 (Monread Road), proceed along the Monread Road until you arrive at the Dublin Road roundabout. Take the third exit, towards Johnstown village (E445). Proceed through Johnstown village as far as the N7 interchange at Johnstown.

From Kerdiffstown, proceed towards the N7 Interchange at Johnstown, cross over the interchange and proceed through Johnstown village (L2005) towards Naas. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto the Monread Road (signposted Sallins). Proceed along the Monread Road until you arrive at the Sallins Road Roundabout, taking the third exit off the roundabout towards Sallins.

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the council and An Garda Síochána. Local and emergency access will be allowed at all times. Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the Acting Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transportation and Public Safety Department, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co Kildare on or before 5.00p.m. on Tuesday, 13 October 2015.
