Proposed Local Area Plan For Celbridge 2017 - 2023

Pursuant to Section 20 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) notice is hereby given that Kildare County Council, being the Planning Authority for the area, has prepared a Draft Local Area Plan (LAP) for Celbridge. 

The Draft Celbridge Local Area Plan 2017-2023 comprises a written statement and maps and is accompanied by:

  • An Environmental Report on the likely significant effects on the environment of implementing the Local Area Plan - pursuant to the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004-2011;
  • An Appropriate Assessment Screening Report - pursuant to the EU Habitats Directive (92/43/EEC); and
  • A Strategic Flood Risk Assessment Report - pursuant to Section 28 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended). 

A copy of these documents may be inspected from Tuesday 13 December 2016 to Friday 3 February 2017 inclusive at the following locations:

  • Planning Office, Kildare County Council, at the address below during opening times of: 9.00 a.m.–4.00 p.m., Monday to Friday (closed Bank Holiday Mondays). 

Please note that the offices will be closed on the 26 and 27 December, 2016 and on the 2 January 2017.

Observations/Submissions may be made in respect of the Draft Celbridge Local Area Plan and associated Environmental Reports before 5 p.m. on 3 February 2017.   All submissions and observations received before the deadline will be taken into consideration before the making of the Celbridge Local Area Plan.  Submissions/Observations may be made as follows:  

Any submission or observation shall state your name, address and where relevant, the body or organisation represented.  Children or groups or associations representing the interests of children are entitled to make submissions or observations to the proposed LAP.

All submissions or observations with respect to the Draft Celbridge Local Area Plan 2017–2023 will form part of the statutory Chief Executive’s report to be presented to the elected members of Kildare County Council. This report includes the names of those making the submissions or observations and will be included in the minutes of that meeting and subsequently published on our website.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 5 p.m. on 3 February 2017
