Temporary Road Closure - R448

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

NOTICE OF DECISION

ROADS ACT, 1993

Kildare county council gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 that it will close the following roads:

(1)  R448 Kilcullen to Naas Road at Mylerstown Cross Roads

from Tuesday 1November until Saturday 05 November 2016 between the hours of 7.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m.

Alternative Route:-

From Kilcullen, follow R448 to Mylerstown Cross Roads. Turn right onto L2023 to Watchhouse Cross Roads. Turn left onto the R411.  At Ballymore Road Roundabout take the first exit to the Kilcullen Road Roundabout.

From Naas, at the Kilcullen Road Roundabout take the first exit to the Ballymore Road Roundabout. Take the third exit onto the R411, follow the R411 to Watchhouse Cross Roads. Turn right onto the L2023, proceed to Mylerstown Crossroads.

(2)  R448 Kilcullen to Naas Road at Silliothill

from Tuesday 1 November  until Saturday 5 November 2016 between the hours of 7.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m.

Alternative Route:-

From Kilcullen, follow the R413 to Kinneagh Cross Roads. Turn right onto the R416. Take right onto the L2032 at Athgarvan Cross Roads.Turn left onto R448 at Mylerstown Cross Roads.

From Naas, follow the R448 to Mylerstown Cross Roads. Turn right onto the L2032. Turn left onto R416 at Athgarvan Cross Roads. Turn left onto R413 at Kinneagh Cross Roads.

 (3)  R407 Clane to Sallins Road

 from Monday 07 November  until Saturday 12 November 2016 between the hours of 7.00pm and 6.00am.

 Alternative Route:-

From Sallins, follow the L2002 to Millicent Cross Roads. At Millicent Cross Roads, turn right onto the L2004 into Clane.

 From Clane, follow the L2004 to Millicent Cross Roads. At Millicent Cross Roads, turn left onto the L2002 to Bodenstown Cross Roads. Turn right for Sallins.

 These closures are required to facilitate road resurfacing works.

 Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána.  Local and emergency access will be allowed at all times.  Any inconvenience caused is regretted.
