M7 Motorway-Night Closures-Eastbound

Temporary Closing of Roads

(Evening and Overnight Closures)

Notice of Intention

Roads Act 1993

M7 EASTBOUND

Kildare County Council hereby gives notice, in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, that it proposes to close the road described as follows:

Road to be Closed: The M7 eastbound between Junction 12 and Junction 11 (M7/M9 merge).

Date of Closure: 

Friday 14 October to Thursday 27 October 2016 and Tuesday 1 November to Monday 14 November 2016.

Hours of Closure:  10 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily – Sunday nights to Friday mornings 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. –

Friday nights/Saturday mornings 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. – Saturday nights/Sunday mornings.

The closure is required to facilitate the resurfacing of the pavement.                                                                                                                                                                                             

Diversion Route:   

Divert from the M7 at Junction 12 (Newbridge), take the 4 exit from the roundabout onto the R413, continue along the R413 towards Kilcullen until the junction with the R448. Traffic should take a right turn at the traffic lights and proceed along the R448, joining the M9 Motorway at M9 Junction 2 using the northbound merge slip ramp. Continue north along the M9 until it re-joins the M7.                                      

Local and emergency access will be allowed at all times. Diversionary Routes, as agreed with An Garda Siochana, will be clearly signposted.
