PART 8 DEVELOPMENT

Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended) - Part 8

Residential development at Flinters Field, Woodstock Street, Townparks (Reban West), Athy, Co. Kildare.

Proposed Development: Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given by Kildare County Council, on behalf of Respond! Housing Association, of a proposed residential development at Flinters Field, Woodstock Street, Townparks (Reban West), Athy, Co. Kildare.

Site Location:  Flinters Field, Woodstock Street, Townparks (Reban West), Athy, Co. Kildare.

The proposed development will comprise of:

a)  a total of 35 no. residential units comprising of:

 i)  5 no. four bed units;

 ii) 18 no. three bed units;

 iii) 12 no. two bed units, with

 iv) renewable energy design measures for each housing unit; and,

 

 b) supporting development works including:

(i) improvements to the pedestrian link to Woodstock St;

(ii) underground surface water attenuation;

(iii) connection to existing foul and water services;

(iv) temporary construction signage;

(v) estate signage;

(vi) site boundary treatments comprising walls and fencing;

(vii) landscaping, including a new natural children’s play area

(vii) lockable pedestrian / cyclist link to canalside pathway and

(viii) all associated site works.

 

Plans and particulars of the proposed development (Part 8 Ref No. P82017 – 006) will be available for inspection or purchase for a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at Level 2 of the offices of Kildare County Council, at the address below and at request at the public counter at Athy Municipal District offices, Rathstewart, Athy during its public opening hours during the period from Thursday 4 May 2017 until Friday 16 June 2017 (both dates inclusive).  Plans and particulars of the proposed development will also be available to view during that period on Kildare County Council’s website at www.kildare.ie/countycouncil.

Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development and dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing to Mary McCarthy, Housing Department, Level 5, Kildare County Council, at the address below before 4.00 p.m. on Monday 3 July 2017.

All submissions and observations should be headed ‘Part 8 Proposed Residential Development at Flinters Field, Athy, Co Kildare.

All comments, including names of those making comments, submitted to the Council in regard to this scheme will form part of the statutorily required report to be presented to the monthly meeting of Kildare County Council.  Accordingly, they will also be included in the minutes of that meeting and may appear in the public domain.
