Taking in Charge of Roads & Services – Kildare County Council

Section 11 of The Roads Act 1993 (as amended).

Notice is hereby given, that Kildare County Council as the Road Authority for the County propose to take in charge the roads, paths, public lights, open spaces, water supply system and both main foul and surface water sewerage systems in the housing estates listed hereunder, following the required statutory display and submissions procedures.

  3. The Mews, Whitethorn Grove, Kill
  4. Furness Wood, Johnstown
  5. Carter’s Hill, Rathmore
  6. 1-4 Glendara Close & 1-5 Cill Latin, Kill
  7. Grangemore Manor, Brannockstown
  8. Beechmount & Beechmount Court (Curragh Chase), Newbridge
  9. 1-12 The Park, Curragh Grange, Newbridge
  10. 8-13 Cluain Bearú, Athy
  11. Cois Caisleán, Nurney
  12. Barrow View, Monasterevin
  13. Lugatana Park, Calverstown
  14. Kildoon, Nurney
  15. Togher Wood, Monasterevin
  16. Castle Gate, Nurney
  17. Castle Raven, Nurney
  18. White Abbey Court, Kildare

A map showing the roads in the above estates may be inspected at the public counter in the Roads & Transportation Department (Level 4)  at the offices of the County Council at the address below from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday (except for public holidays) from Monday, 24 August 2020 to Monday, 21 September 2020 inclusive.

Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions, you will be required to make an appointment via our appointments system on our website or call 045 980200 to view the maps on display. The Maps will also be available to view on our website.

Objections or representations may be made in writing to the Council in relation to the proposed declaration at any time before Monday, 05 October 2020 and any such objections or representations which are not withdrawn will be considered by the Council.

Objections or representations should be addressed to the Senior Executive Engineer, Building & Development Control Department, at the address below and marked on the bottom left hand corner of the envelope “Taking in Charge of – “x” where “x” would be the name of the particular estate referred to in the letter.
