TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

NOTICE OF INTENTION

ROADS ACT, 1993

Kildare County Council gives notice, in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 that it intends to close:

The M7 Eastbound (Overnight Closures) between Junction 12 and Junction 11 (M7 & M9 merge).

Friday/Saturday        12 to 13 July 2019                     21.30 to 07.00 hrs

Saturday/Sunday      13 to 14 July 2019                     21.30 to 09.00 hrs

Friday/Saturday        19 to 20 July 2019                     21.30 to 07.00 hrs

Saturday/Sunday      20 to 21 July 2019                     21.30 to 09.00 hrs          

Friday/Saturday        26 to 27 July 2019                     21.30 to 07.00 hrs

Saturday/Sunday      27 to 28 July 2019                     21.30 to 07.00 hrs

 

These overnight closures are required to facilitate the resurfacing of the existing pavement. It is expected that the works will take only two nights but additional closures have been booked in case of unforeseen delays and or poor weather. 

Diversion route:-

Divert from the M7 at Junction 12 (Newbridge), Take the fourth exit from the roundabout onto the R413, continue along the R413 towards Kilcullen until the junction with the R448.Traffic should take a right turn at the traffic lights and proceed along the R448, joining the M9 Motorway at M9 Junction 2 using the northbound merge slip ramp. Continue north along the M9 until it re-joins the M7. 

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána.  Local and emergency access will be allowed at all times. 

Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transport & Public Safety, Level 4, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, on or before 5.00 p.m on Tuesday 25 June 2019
