Roads Regulations, 1994

Kildare County Council, on behalf of Irish Water, gives notice in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 and the Roads Regulations, 1994 that it intends to close the following roads during the period commencing Sunday, 4 October 2020 to Saturday, 17 October 2020 to facilitate installation of pipework.

Planned works are programmed for 14 calendar days. Advance notification of start date will be provided. Roads will be opened early if works are completed early.

Alternative Routes:

Southbound vehicles travelling on L6005 (The Courtyard) must continue on L6005 (The Courtyard) (circa 2.65km) and then divert left at Digby Bridge and continue along L2004 (Castlekeely) (circa 2.91km). They will be diverted left at L2004 (Castlekeely)/R409 (circa 2.38km) onto the R409 and then diverted left again at R409/L2006 (Osberstown Cottages).

Northbound vehicles travelling on L2006 (Osberstown Cottages) will continue on to L2006 (Osberstown Cottages)/R409 (circa 3.38km). They will then be diverted right onto the R409 (circa 2.4km). They divert right at R409/L2004 (Castlekeely) (circa 2.93km) and then divert left at Digby Bridge onto L6005 (The Courtyard) (circa 2.65km).

Diversionary routes will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána. Emergency access and restricted local access will be maintained.

Any objections/observations should be lodged in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transportation & Public Safety, Kildare County Council, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas, Co. Kildare or by e-mail to roadssubmissions@kildarecoco.ie on or before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 31 August 2020.
