Update on Works Main Street Naas 12th April

Works on Main Street Naas commenced April 9th, and expected to continue for approximately 7 weeks.  The works include new ducting to facilitate the undergrounding of ESB cables and the provision of new public lighting poles and other minor civil works. The works extend from the Presbyterian Church to the former Superquinn entrance.  The appointed contractors will be liaising directly with businesses on this section of roadway with regard to required power outages and maintaining pedestrian/customer access.  There will be no works on Main Street Naas during Punchestown Race Week.  The area will be in a condition suitable for use by pedestrians and traffic during this time.

The improvement works may cause some temporary inconvenience to businesses and members of the public, for which Kildare County Council apologise in advance. The new lighting and undergrounding of cables will result in a significant visual improvement to the streetscape along this section of roadway.
