Print PageR402 Edenderry to Enfield Road Improvement Scheme
The R402 Enfield to Edenderry Road Improvement Scheme will cost approximately €36.5 million (design, supervision of works, land acquisition, advanced works, archaeology, diversion of services and the main contract) and will take approximately two years to complete (commenced Feb 2012). The works consist of the realignment and improvement of the R402 Regional Road between Enfield and Edenderry and cover approximately 11kms of roadway.
This project is currently in the second half of its construction. The project is progressing well and it is expected that works will be substantially completed by the end of 2013.
This roads project is 100% funded by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport.

Kildare County Council Roads Design Section will be opening the Dunmurry Link Road in Bishopsland, Kildare Town on Wednesday 13th January from 10am.
The project took 4 months to complete at a cost of approximately € 600,000
The link road will improve connectivity in Kildare Town. It will improve access for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists between Kildare Town Community School and the Rathbride Estate."
