In the open wheel categories Formula Vee heads the bill, while the Stryker and Abarth Cup will supply the best of the Sportscar and Saloon action.

The budget Formula Vee class continues to lead the way, in terms of popularity among single seater competitors, with a thirty car field lining up for Sunday’s two races, which will count as a single championship round. The top two drivers in qualifying will go directly into the final while the remaining twenty eight drivers will battle it out for the other grid positions in a qualifying race which will open the day’s proceedings. Also on the bill will be two races for Formula Sheane, which makes its first appearance of the season at Mondello and a fifteen car grid is expected.

The Sportscar races will be for the one make Stryker championship and the Porsche Open Racing Series which allows any of the German manufacturer’s models to take part. The Stryker’s have upped their game this season with a new tyre which has seen lap time fall significantly and stronger entries with a return to grids of twenty cars for their pair of races. While the Porsche grids are currently suffering from a lack of quantity they will not be short of quality as more modern Porsche variants make their way into the series, and the two championship rounds should be as hotly contested as ever.

The saloon classes racing on Sunday are entirely Fiat based with all three championships on the bill. The Abarth Cup makes its first appearance of the year with a decent line-up featuring a mix of old hands and some graduates from the Uno and Punto series. While the Abarth's will race twice the Punto and Uno racers will have just a single outing.

Sunday’s event gets underway with qualifying from 09:15, while the opening race is scheduled for 11:15. Four races take place before a break at 13:00 and the remaining seven races take place between 14:00 and 17:00. Admission is €15.00 for adults with accompanied under sixteen’s admitted free and family tickets are available for €25.00. All admission prices include a complimentary event programme.
