This year mud run is teaming up with Ireland's largest children's charity Barnardos, and we are hoping to raise as much money as possible to help vulnerable kids across Ireland.

MudRun Ireland organised Irelands first ever Mud Run in Mondello,Co.Kildare in February 2010 and following its success held another Munster event in June 2010. Both events raised almost 80,000 euro for charity. (Seewww.mudrun.ie)

Mud Run is organised to be a FUN experience for all those who participate or want to watch their friends, family or work colleagues compete. The 5km track will involve some hills, a number of obstacles and of course, numerous MUD PITS guaranteed to leave participants muddy and smiling.

It is all organised in the name of fun but for the more competitive participants there are prizes for the first man and the first women to cross the finish line as well as the cleanest, dirtiest, best dressed and the first team to cross. In keeping with the novel spirit of the event, participants are encouraged to don their wackiest costumes to add to the muddy mayhem.
