Naas Community Library provides a vibrant and varied library service to the 20,000+ population of Naas and its environs. The library is situated in an idyllic setting at the harbour of the Grand Canal in Naas which is just off Main Street South. It has a dedicated adult, children's, and a recently new teenage area. As well as these lending collections there is an extensive reference collection in the study area on the mezzanine floor. In 2010 a new outdoor garden space was commissioned – entitled “If you go down to the woods”. Outside the front of the library a sculpture by the late James McKenna – “An Cathair Mór” stands and watches over the canal basin.
