MARTIN O'HAGAN, RIP

Sunday World journalist Martin O'Hagan was shot dead in the North on Friday night, 28 September 2001, close to his home in Lurgan, Co Armagh.

Mr O'Hagan, in his 50s, had been a journalist with the Sunday World in the North for more than 10 years.

He is the first journalist murdered by Northern paramilitaries in more than three decades of the Troubles.

To his wife Marie and his children, the branch expresses its deep sympathy.
