Kumon Kildare Study Centre to hold community event

The Kumon Kildare Study Centre will hold an Awards Ceremony and Open Day at Round Towers GAA Pavilion on Saturday June 10th. Mayor of Kildare, Ivan Keatley is attending the event to present forty awards to the students.

Parents with children of all ages are encouraged to pop in from 1pm to 2.30pm. Visitors will have the chance to explore study materials and ask any questions they might have about the Kumon programmes.

Local lady and Instructor at the Kildare Study Centre, Colette Murran, said: "This is our chance to celebrate and acknowledge the successes of our wonderful Kumon students and engage with the local community to give them more insight into what we do"

Established for over 50 years, the Kumon programmes enable children of all ages and abilities to develop their independent study skills and confidently tackle advanced work. Kumon's approach to learning is quite different to traditional methods of supplementary education. Kumon develop children through the acquisition of independent learning skills, rather than teaching in the conventional sense, so as to increase focus and concentration in order to fulfil their own unique potential.

Kumon Educational is Ireland's largest supplementary education provider, with over 1,700 students studying at 30 study centres.
