THE GATHERING: It's the year of The Gathering and to celebrate, the Irish Farmer's Journal want to give you a helping hand to invite your friends and family home to join in the celebrations! Having started with a bang at NYE Dublin there are over 3,400 Gatherings confirmed to take place across the country; from the Achill Island Agricultural Show to the Home to Roost Gathering in Louth, there has never been a better time to invite everyone back to Ireland.
THE PRIZES: The Irish Farmers Journal newspaper is offering four lucky winners the chance to win €2,500 to invite home whomever they want to attend their very own Gathering. They can also join in the Gathering celebrations at this year's National Ploughing Championship in Laois.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Get your friends from abroad involved. Get them to take a picture of themselves and their family with a poster entitled: "WE GOT YOUR INVITE AND WE'RE ON THE WAY" Or Take a picture of yourself at home with a sign saying: "WE HOPE YOU'RE ON THE WAY". Get creative and make sure that your loved ones return home for Gathering 2013 and the Journal will bring someone home from anywhere in the country. This is your opportunity to get in the Gathering spirit.
